St. Thomas

Malahide 

Malahide Township is a peaceful collection of small communities, farms, and green spaces in the east of Elgin County stretching down to the shore of Lake Erie. With so many different communities to chose from, and lots of large lots if you're interested in more space and privacy, there is sure to be a home for you. 

Comprised of Candyville, Crossley-Hunter, Copenhagen, Dunboyne, Fairview, Glencolin, Grovesend, Jaffa, Kingsmill, Lakeview, Little Aylmer, Luton, Lyons, Mile Corner, Mount Salem, Mount Vernon, Ormond Beach, Orwell, Port Bruce, Seville, Springfield, Summers Corners, and Waneeta Beach, there is always somewhere new to explore and a new experience to find. Every settlement has community events to bring people together, small businesses to showcase local cultures and goods, and a sense of calm not found in the city.

Aylmer

Aylmer, seated in the heart of Malahide Township, is a historical town mixing tradition with modernity as it expands to meet the growing population looking for a fresh start with a slower pace. With parks and schools and a community centre, and its proximity to major highways and St. Thomas, Aylmer is a perfect place to start or raise a family, or find a quieter place to call your own.

Aylmer is host an annual fair that celebrates their rural culture, and weekly local markets that bring the surrounding communities in to sell their goods. Though small, Aylmer and the surrounding communities house a diverse population and group of local businesses and farms, assuring varied and rich interactions, commerce, and cultural experiences found nowhere else.

Central Elgin/Port Stanley

Central Elgin reaches from Belmont down to Lake Erie and surrounds St. Thomas. Encompassing historical villages like Dexter, Lawton's Corners, Lyndale, Lynhurst, Mapleton, New Sarum, Norman, Sparta, Union, Whites, and Yarmouth Centre that offer their own small-town charms, Central Elgin is also home to Port Stanley on the shore of Lake Erie. No matter what type of scenery or community you're looking for, Central Elgin has the home for you.

Port Stanley is a busting beach and fishing town in the summer and a peaceful lakeside community even after the crowds have thinned. With many restaurants serving menus made with local ingredients, unique shops, and dining on the sand, Port Stanley offers unique experiences and views as the backdrop of your life.

West Elgin

West Elgin is home to the communities of Rodney and West Lorne, as well as the smaller settlements of Churchville, Clachan, Ferndell, Crinan, Eagle, Kintyre, New Glasgow, Port Glasgow, and Twin Valleys. With rich rural and lakeside views, West Elgin has a home for everyone. 

The 401 runs through West Elgin, giving easy access to London, Sarnia, and anywhere else you might want or need to go, and providing balance between rural life and the amenities of larger cities.

Southwold

Southwold is home to several communities including Shedden, Fingal, and Talbotville, as well as unique historical sites stretching far back into the area's history. Like the rest of Elgin County, close proximity to the 401, highway 3, and St. Thomas makes sure residents want for nothing, and the beautiful countryside and lakeside views are sure to make any home your sanctuary.

Bayham

Bayham is a municipality comprised of Corinth, Eden, Froggetts Corners, North Hall, Port Burwell, Richmond, Springer's Hill, Straffordville, Vienna, and Wadger. It's situated between Aylmer and Tillsonburg and has easy access to highway 3.

Like the rest of Elgin County, it provides both countryside and lakeside communities and homes, giving residents and visitors the best of slower-paced living. With Port Burwell Provincial Park offering hiking and camping, and Port Burwell itself offering a beautiful beach, there is plenty of opportunity to explore and get to know the area, or find your perfect home.

Dutton/Dunwich

Dutton/Dunwich is another primarily rural area in Elgin County, like West Elgin. If you're looking for a peaceful country life, this may be your new home. With similar easy access to the 401 and highway 3 it ensures residents are never far from St. Thomas or London if you need a taste of city life.
